In one week...

We'll know whether Stretch is a boy or a girl (assuming baby cooperates). And even more importantly, I'll hopefully have some peace of mind regarding the birth defects of our siblings and the possibility of cleft lip/palate from still being on (admittedly very low doses of) my medication at the beginning of this pregnancy.

They called on Tuesday when I was in class, but I'd told my preceptor beforehand that I was expecting a call from the doctor, and she told me to leave class if I got it. So I did. They asked when I wanted to come in, and I asked what time frame we were looking at and if April 9th would be too early. She said the order said April 12th (at 18 weeks) but April 9th wouldn't be too early, so I'm scheduled for 10:30 AM on my birthday! What a wonderful birthday gift!!!

My parents know to expect a phone call (my mom has demanded one as soon as we leave the doctor). My ILs, however, don't know, and they will be coming to visit that night and staying for the weekend. C may tell them about the appointment, but he may not, and that would be a fun surprise. My brothers will all be calling to wish me a happy birthday, so I'll get to tell each of them then. I really hope Stretch cooperates because I'm so excited to find out!

In other news, our nursery furniture was delivered yesterday! It looks great. C still needs to assemble the crib (he's focused on constructing a goat barn, so he refuses to make it a priority, much to my annoyance because I hate having things unfinished), but the dresser/hutch is ready to be filled up. In fact, I'm going to go put away some cloth diapers (courtesy of greenbabybargains.com) right now.
